I’m Sage, the mother of SACRED & SAGE.
My calling as a doula is rooted in my faith in the birth process and my faith in Christ.
This is my ministry.
Alongside a care provider, if one is hired, I nurture the emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of the mother-baby dyad. Each birth is so different. With Christ-centered presence and customized comfort measures, I help you feel supported as you step into your unique birth story.
AS A MAMA
I believe every woman was beautifully created for birth and I've been enamored with it since I was a young girl. In 2023, I finally birthed my son at home after three nights of hard work (see us pictured!). Almost two years later, I gave birth to my daughter on the very same bed. Although much faster the second time, it felt just as challenging, if not more. However, I can confidently say I did not feel fear at any point when laboring and giving birth. I knew what I had to do: trust. This is because I did the "work" of
understanding physiological birth the way God designed it.
AS A CATHOLIC
I just love that we all celebrate a birth story every year... the birth story of Jesus Christ on Christmas Day! No one embodies divine design more perfectly than our Holy Mother. Mary fully surrendered to God’s plan, fully confident in the body He gave her. Her labor unfolded naturally as she was supported by God and her husband. Mary shows us with her faith and courage that birth is a sacred duty, a gift, and a natural calling.
Let us honor her example.

AS A DOULA
For almost a decade I have sought the wisdom of Indie Birth about conception to parenting. I chose Indie Birth’s Sacred Sisterhood Doula Training because it honors birth as a mother’s profound journey rather than a clinical checklist; a God-given mystery. Their radical approach spoke to my soul, offering practical doula skills and a deep connection with other wise women. I truly feel my personal experience and what I've learned from this village combined with my unwavering faith in the Lord is shaping me into the kind of woman that will be a resource to my community for decades to come.
